It's our fire works sale!!! (at Jupiter Gardens)

    Sunday, June 22, 2008, 08:29 PM [General]

Now through the fourth of July all incense is 10% off. This is our fire works sale! That's right. Fire. Works.

How? Lighting a stick of incense can calm your mood. It can transport you somewhere else. It can be a ritual act. Or it can simply provide enjoyment.

Either way fire works, and this fourth of July we're celebarting that by placing all our incense on sale at 10% off.

Sale runs now through July 4.

    A Fan's Life

    Saturday, November 10, 2007, 10:25 AM [General]

Last weekend I was at ICON, a science fiction convention held in the Iowa City area. (Http://www.mindbridge.org/icon/ ). Some wouldn't think that incense and sf fans go together. Or sf fans and herbal soaps. But, I got to say, I just love being a dealer at various conventions and hope to do at least four next year, maybe more!

There's nothing quite like having the one thing that someone wants. A young gamer came to me asking if I'd heard of a temple incense that was called Shiva. Not only had I heard of it, but I had some on hand and proceeded to make a sale. Apparently he'd looked all over for it and couldn't find it.

I discussed incense scents, why people like "food smells" or don't like "food smells". I caught up with old friends and made several new ones. And I did it all from the "smelly" table in the dealer's room. You see, everyone comes to the dealer's room at a convention. Sit there long enough and you'll see the guests of honor. You'll talk to the convention committee, the fans, the authors and the artists. You will talk to everyone.

It was a weekend away in a beautiful hotel where I could do what I love: write, talk to people, and share my love of incense with others. A very good weekend.
